Dr. Florence Licata BsN, RN, DC, Certified in Acupuncture

For the past 50 years Dr. Florence J Licata has actively worked to improve the health of others. This journey began in 1974 when she obtained a BS in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her nursing career spanned 13 years with experience in high risk labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, orthopedics and neurology, medical surgical, and the emergency department.

After suffering from a spinal injury and being recommended for surgery, she discovered chiropractic care and was rendered symptom free in 3 months. From this she decided to pursue a career in chiropractic and in 1987 she graduated from Life Chiropractic College (now Life University) in Marietta, Georgia. She opened her office in 1989 after a two year internship and has been in private practice ever since.

Dr. Licata holds several certifications including; clinical acupuncture, clinical thermographer, a macrobiotic chef and counselor. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Nutrition, kundalini yoga instructor, and lifeguard/first aid, CPR/AED certified, and deep water rescue.

She has been a health care educator since 1976 when she developed and successfully implemented the first patient education program for patients with type 2 diabetes at Biscayne Medical Center. Over the years she has presented seminars at state and national conventions for nurses, acupuncture and chiropractic physicians. Her favorite topics include; laboratory testing, pharmacology, human anatomy, and rehabilitation, and diet therapy

As a health advocate Dr. Licata has lectured/counseled extensively on the importance of a healthy, well balanced diet, the importance of good posture and spinal alignment, the right exercise for your body style (not everyone is built to run), and Kundalini Yoga, to promote; spinal health, stretch therapy, reduce stress and create a calm and focused mind.

A spinal injury while lifting a patient changed the direction of her medical career. While being worked up for spinal surgery she met a chiropractor who after careful examination said he could help and he did. Within three months she was rendered symptom free and never required surgery.

Dr. Lictata joins the NuvoCell Medical Advisory board to further her mission to improve the health of others. After experiencing the transformative benefits of transdermal stem cell technology that saved her from a knee replacement surgery, she has set out to help educate others on the powerful benefits of affordable and accessible regenerative care.
